Financial Assistance & Scholarships

Post Matric Scholarship scheme by the Govt. of India

Students belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC) who are permanent residents of Punjab and are getting Post Matric/Secondary Education anywhere in India are entitled to Scholarship under this scheme provided the annual income of their parents from all sources does not exceed Rs. 100000. These students will not be charged tuition as well as non-refundable compulsory fee under this scholarship scheme at the time of admission.

Stipend for Backward Class students

Students belonging to backward Classes (BC) who are permanent residents of Punjab and are getting education in college/Institution of Punjab Govt. are sanctioned stipend under this scheme provided the annual income of their parents/guardian/families does not exceed Rs. 44500/-.

Punjab State Scholarship for Scheduled Tribes

Students belonging to Scheduled Tribe (ST) who are studying in colleges of Punjab/Chandigarh and are permanent residents of Punjab are eligible for scholarship under this scheme provided the annual income of their parents/guardians/families does not exceed the limit prescribed by the govt. and the land revenue must not exceed the limit prescribed by the govt.

Special grant for girl students belonging to Scheduled Castes and Rural Areas

Girl students belonging to scheduled castes whose parents/Guardians are permanent residents of Punjab/Chandigarh and who are getting education in Punjab/ Chandigarh college are eligible for grant provided their annual income from all sources does not exceed Rs. 100000.

Scholarship to Minority Group students

Central Govt. has extended grants/Scholarship to minority group students (National Level) belonging to Sikh, Muslim, Christian, Buddha, Parsi communities subject to annual income from all sources of their parents(s) is below 2 Lac with 50% marks from the persons class of the candidate. The scholarship is available from +1 to PG Classes.

Stipend Scholarship and Concession in Fee

There is provision of fee concession/stipend for poor and deserving students. They are required to apply on such dates as notified by Principal and their applications will be interviewed by committee on dates fixed by the Principal.

S.C., B.C. students must produce certificate from competent authority w.e.f. the date of interview. Stipends and concessions are also awarded to outstanding students and sportsmen.

Low income Group Scholarship Scheme

Students whose parents/family’s annual income does not exceed Rs. 38000/- and who do not belong to a Scheduled Caste or Backward Classes are eligible for this scholarship.

Soldier Board Scholarship

Soldier Board Gurdaspur grants financial helps to the sons/daughters of Ex. Servicemen studying in college.

Freeship

Full freeship and half freeship are provided to the students regarding tuition fee only. The first top 5% of the students every academic year of every course on their merit getfull freeship. The next 5% get half free ship. Both these free ship continue only if the students maintain their merit among the first top 5% in their respective courses every year.

Students are advised to obtain scholarship forms from the college office. College notices from time to time will ensure the availability of these forms.
